About the Artist
Lara has been a photographer as long as she can remember. She was always interested in imagery (both still and moving)…from photographing her toes to animal carcasses. She has a large range of interests including (but not limited to): photography, books, history, film, music, languages, counter-culture, and the nude form in art.
Lara attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art (concentration in Photography) and a minor in Film Theory in 2005. She then moved to Romania for a two-year term of service with the Peace Corps. During her time in Romania, Lara took a hiatus from art. During the last few months of her stay, however, she started to feel the need to create and completed a painting of her friend Botica (image not present in this website).
After Lara returned to the United States, she trekked across the country to move to California. She attended the Burning Man festival in 2007 and decided it was time to end her hiatus in art soon thereafter.
